We were created for a purpose and the time had come that we were ready to fulfill this purpose.
Leaving with only the memories we had made while in the Proctor Community Center only a few short days ago, we head out on our individual adventures. We have heard so much of these "AmeriCorps Members" across Minnesota who want us to visit them. They have asked us to join them in their service and continue this blog as we journey around the state so that they may learn about other AmeriCorps member's service and sites.
Elephant turned to me and said, "Owl?"
I responded, "Yes, Ellie?"
"Where are we going?"
"You my friend will be going to Superior, WI to visit Morgann," I told her.
Then Monkey chimed in and asked, "Do you know where I will be going?"
I responded with excitement as Monkey had always dreamt of visiting Sauk Centre, "You will be journeying to Sauk Centre, MN to visit Matt!"
Lion finally awoke from his daily cat nap and drowsily said, "Where will I be going?"
I exclaimed with anticipation, "To St. Paul, MN to visit Lindsay!" As I knew that Lion and Lindsay would have so much fun in the state capital exploring, learning and sharing what Lindsay does at her service site to others around the state.
They all stated in unison, “Owl, where will you be going?”
“I will be staying around Proctor for awhile,” I said. I knew that there where many members in this area to visit.
As I end this entry I would like to with Monkey, Lion, and Ellie the best of luck as they travel to their host AmeriCorps members to discover what they do every day.
